PDF (Portable Document Format) is one of the standard formats to save documents. The Latex users can save their TEX files into PDF format so that they can read and print the files in different operating systems. Converting a TEX file to PDF format can be done in various ways. The following figure shows two of them. The first one on the left has more steps compared to the second one on the right.
pdflatex can be easily called from texshell in the command
composer window and the resulting files can be viewed using
acroread in the command view window.
In my experiences, pdflatex produces output of good quality.
