Dear colleagues,
Since we have successfully organised the 6th national
Seminar on Neutron
and X-Ray Scattering on August 1 - 3, 2005 (IUCr Newsletter Vol.
13, No. 3, 2005 and Neutron News Vol. 17, No.1, 2006) sponsored by
National Nuclear Energy
Agency–Indonesia (BATAN),
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),
International Union of Crystallography (IUCr),
International Center for Theoretical
Physics (ICTP)
and others was made successfully to accommodate the researchers and
scientists in discussing a topic of macromolecules study using neutron and X-ray
scattering techniques. The seminar has been held regularly since 1998 and in the
last one the scope was broadened to the regional level.
The revitalization of neutron scattering laboratory in Serpong has been
responded by the increase of interest in utilizing neutron scattering technique,
not just from the local scientists but also from abroad. To accommodate the
enthusiasm among the local, regional as well as international scientists for a
stronger and fruitful cooperation, the international conference on
neutron and X-ray scattering 2007 (ICNX 2007) is arranged. The
conference includes of a five-day workshop in Serpong and a two-day seminar in
Bandung is planned on July 23 – 31, 2007 and it will be focusing on neutron and
X-ray scattering in materials science and biology.
Herewith, we are widely open for all colleagues to participate in the conference
and also be able to distribute or pass this announcement to your colleagues,
students, etc. whom you feel that might be interested to participate. Look
